    GDPR – Your Rights

    The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guarantees you specific rights. Read how you can exercise them with Bidmio.

    1. What is GDPR?

    • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
    • The regulation came into force on 25 May 2018 and applies to all organisations processing personal data of EU residents, including Bidmio.
    • Bidmio, as a data controller, processes your personal data in accordance with GDPR and ensures full compliance with your rights.

    2. Data Controller

    • The data controller for your personal data is Bidmio ApS, headquartered in Denmark.

    • Bidmio processes personal data in accordance with GDPR Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and is responsible for the correct and lawful processing of your data.

    3. Your Rights Under GDPR

    • Right of access (Art. 15) – you have the right to know what personal data we process about you, for what purpose, and for how long.
    • Right to rectification (Art. 16) – if your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction.
    • Right to erasure (Art. 17) – you have the right to request deletion of your personal data when the purpose of processing has ended.
    • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18) – you can request temporary suspension of the processing of your data.
    • Right to data portability (Art. 20) – you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
    • Right to object (Art. 21) – you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

    4. How to Exercise Your Rights

    • You can submit a request to exercise your rights by email to privacy@bidmio.com.
    • Please include in your request: your name and contact details, which right you wish to exercise, and which data the request concerns.
    • We will respond to your request within 30 days. In justified cases, we may extend this period by a further 2 months.
    • Exercising your rights is free of charge. If requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge an administrative fee.

    5. Legal Basis for Processing

    • We process your personal data on the basis of: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), and consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where necessary.

    6. International Data Transfers

    • Bidmio is headquartered in Denmark and your personal data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA).
    • If data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR — primarily through Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
    • We do not transfer your data to countries without an adequate level of protection without your knowledge and without appropriate safeguards.

    7. Supervisory Authority

    • If you believe that the processing of your personal data is in violation of GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
