QR codes on the job site
Five different codes in one day — and the office gets hours, materials and a payment out of them
In the morning a foreman scans a badge, a label on the drill, a tin of paint, the site board and the attendance poster. That is not five apps. It is one phone camera and codes Bidmio already prints. This article is the map: what you can stick on, what records an arrival, and what the customer scans in the bank. Attendance lives in time tracking and payment in online invoicing. Try it on your own site.
Morning on site, five scans
The first scan is the badge of someone without a company phone. The second is the label on the tool going into the van. The third is the barcode on material from the warehouse. The fourth is the QR on the site board when a new person needs the coordinator. The fifth is the poster at the gate: arrival on this job. Each code does a different job. None of them is a public page for a stranger.
What you can print and stick on
The QR label button is on five kinds of records. An A4 sheet or a small roll. After login, a scan opens that record in your company.
1Tools and machines
A label on a drill or a machine opens the card. A machine opens that machine's day in equipment.
2Stock
A label or the maker's barcode finds the item in warehouse and materials. It is not RFID and not a chip in the pallet.
3Vehicle
A label in the van, or the plate, opens the vehicle in vehicles.
4Customer device
A technician scans the code on the boiler and opens the case in field service.
5Protective equipment
A label on the shelf selects the item in the PPE issue form in safety and quality.
Attendance is not a tool label
People scan the project poster with their own phone. A tablet on site shows a code that changes by itself, so yesterday's photo does not work. Someone without a phone is clocked in when the foreman scans their badge. The hours stay on the job in time tracking. It is not NFC, not a fingerprint and not all-day location tracking.
The office: payment and a form
An invoice in online invoicing can carry a QR code for the bank. Slovakia is Pay by Square, Czechia is SPAYD, the rest of Europe is SEPA. The customer scans it in their banking app. Amount and reference are filled in. It is not a card payment. A published form in web forms shows a QR code of the link on the Sharing tab, as PNG and SVG.
What stays on paper and can be checked
A printed service protocol in field service ends with a QR code. Whoever scans it sees whether the copy is still the signed one, or already old. The notice on the site board in safety and quality opens the coordinators and the current risks. HR replaces an employee badge in team management when it is lost.
What a QR code in Bidmio does not do
We do not promise an RFID count of the whole company, chips in materials, NFC at the gate or biometrics. The QR code in two-factor sign-in is only for an authenticator app, not for the site.
Frequently Asked Questions
One camera, not a new module
A QR code in Bidmio is not a product of its own. It is how people on site reach a record you already have: in equipment, stock, vehicles, attendance and invoicing.
