PDF quotes in pounds are coming soon
The price calculator above works today. Downloading the quote as a PDF with your logo and saving it to a free Bidmio account opens on bidmio.com as soon as the Bidmio app supports quotes in pounds sterling (GBP) – we are working on it.
How we use your details
- The quote and your customer's details are only used while Bidmio creates the PDF and are not stored unless you save the quote to an account yourself.
- You will be able to download 10 PDFs a month for free.
- The quote carries a small line at the bottom: "Made with Bidmio".
- Until you get the quote, everything stays here in your browser, so reloading the page does not lose your work.
- If you save the quote, we create a free account that only becomes active when you first log in. If you do not use it within 30 days, it is deleted together with the customer's details.
Total price: £2,627.32
Where do the hours and material prices come from?
The time norms are Bidmio estimates for two coats (the same as in the Danish version of the tool; UK pricing books such as Spon's are paid). Material prices ex. VAT are Bidmio estimates from B&Q and Wickes prices in October 2026 (Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt, Leyland Trade, Zinsser Perma-White, Dulux Trade Satinwood) at the manufacturers' coverage with an allowance for absorbent surfaces, plus 20% for filler, masking and waste. Each line is quantity × (hours × your rate + materials). Change the rate here, and the norms and prices in Bidmio.
Should my quote include VAT?
If you are VAT-registered, painting and decorating is standard-rated at 20%, in homes too. You must register once your taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in a rolling 12 months; below that, choose "Not VAT-registered" and quote without VAT.
How is the wall area worked out?
Without length and width the room is treated as square: the walls are 4 × √floor area × ceiling height and the skirting 4 × √floor area. With length and width, 2 × (length + width) is used. Doors and windows are not deducted, because you still mask and cut in around them.
When can I download the quote as a PDF?
The calculator is free and works today. PDF quotes and saving to a free Bidmio account open on bidmio.com once the Bidmio app supports quotes in pounds sterling; then you can download 10 PDFs a month for free.
Are my customer's details stored?
No. The quote and your customer's details are only used while Bidmio creates the PDF and are not stored unless you choose to save the quote to an account. Until then, everything stays in your browser.
